Team Green Racing made its race debut today and as a result started from the rear of the grid. Race one ended prematurely when the rear wheels locked under braking and the engine stalled. With the clutch it was not possible to restart the engine and as a consequence driver Robert Green was forced to retire.

Race two was an uneventful run at the tail of the field but it was felt that the tyre pressures were probably too high as the kart lacked grip at the end of the race.

Dropping the tyre pressures for race three resulted in a lack of grip early on, but once the tyres warmed the grip improved. At the end of the race we found one of the sidepod bolts had worked loose and this also probably contributed to the early lack of grip.

We again started race four, the scratch final, at the tail of the field. With the temperature falling Robert reported massive understeer. Unfortunately the team also made the mistake of failing to check the fuel level and Robert had to retire from the race due to resulting problems with fuel pickup.

The final race of the day was the handicap race and after the torrid time we had in the earlier races we started from second on the grid. Unfortunately the fuel would not pick up properly meaning that the motor would not fire and Robert was forced to pull into the breakdown lane whilst the rest of the field went by.

The engine finally started but by this time Robert was in last place. He was able to catch and pass Adrian Whiddon late in the race to pick up two points.

With the five points earned for participation, we finished the day with seven points, and at the end of round two of the series find ourselves in thirteenth place overall.
