Today will be Team Green Racing's first test outing at the Archerville circuit to the north of Launceston.
As a fitting send-off to its past life as a national title winner, the kart will have a final run in Chris Jeffrey's livery, with the number 1 plate proudly on display. The test will be driver Robert Green's first drive in an outdoor kart of any type. As a consequence, the aims of the test session will be modest. The first priority will be to conduct a systems check of the kart, the motor and the starting system. The second objective of the session will be for Robert to learn the circuit, which for 2006 is being run in an anticlockwise direction. Finally, should the session progress well, some fast laps will be attempted to establish a definitive base time for future tests. |
